TTL Associates To Attend The Brownfield Conference in Columbus, Ohio at Booth #30

TTL Associates will be attending The Brownfield Conference in Columbus, Ohio on April 6th and 7th. TTL’s own Doug Jambard-Sweet, Environmental Scientist/Project Manager, will be featured as A Guest Speaker on April 7th from 2:50pm-3:50pm. Please stop by and visit Susan Yarger, Environmental Services Manager, Paul Chasco, Geologist/Project Manager, Shuman Majumder, Environmental Scientist, Robert S. Ruse, Ph.D., P.E, President, Timothy G. Pedro, Vice President, and Doug Jambard-Sweet, Environmental Scientist/Project Manager at Booth No. 30.

Mr. Jambard-Sweet’s discussion will focus on TTL’s involvement in the redevelopment of a 22-acre vacant former industrial site into a 10.45 acre solar array field to generate approximately 2 megawatts of electricity for the Toledo Zoo. Through a combination of grants and development partners, the site was assessed and re-developed into a functioning solar array providing enough electricity to offset approximately 30% of the Toledo Zoo’s general usage from conventional sources and providing significant energy savings. In addition, the City also partnered with The Toledo Zoo to create a natural prairie habitat on the site. Below are examples of the before and after.

TTL is proud to provide our team of experienced environmental professionals to assist our clients in the assessment and redevelopment of Brownfield sites through the preparation of grant applications, managing and implementing grants, conducting investigations of contaminated properties and remediating the properties. Many properties that had been vacant and underutilized and posed health threats to the surrounding community have been redeveloped, revitalized, and returned to tax rolls.
