TTL’s Is Proud to Announce Kathrine D. Chulski As This Year’s MSPE Young Engineer Of The Year Recipient

TTL proud to announce Katherine D. Chulski, Geotechnical Engineer, P.E., was recognized as the Michigan Society of Professional Engineer (MSPE) Young Engineer of the Year at their annual conference, held May 18-22. Kate is featured below alongside TTL’s own Timothy G. Pedro, VP, Business Development.

Kate is an enthusiastic leader at the local level. She joined MSPE prior to receiving her Professional Engineer certification while completing graduate school and working full time at TTL Associates, Inc., and became secretary of her local chapter shortly thereafter.

Kate earned her Bachelor of Science in engineering, civil and environmental engineering from The University of Michigan. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in civil engineering from The University of Toledo. She is a part of the American Society of Civil Engineers (U of M Student Chapter), Women in Science and Engineering in Residence, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training, and the American Society of Highway Engineers.

Kate began her engineering career at a consulting firm as a cooperative education student in 2005, and returned in 2006 as an intern, performing construction materials testing services. Upon graduation from the University of Michigan in late 2007, Kate joined that firm as a full time staff engineer, providing field engineering services in addition to previously honed testing services. In 2013, Kate was invited to join TTL Associates, Inc. as a geotechnical engineer. At that time she was working on her thesis on the Life Cycle Assessment and Costing of Geosynthetics Versus Earthen Materials, to help her graduate with her Master’s degree in May 2015. She immediately applied herself toward obtaining her Professional Engineer certification, and became a Professional Engineer in December 2015.

We are proud of Kate and look forward to what she accomplishes here at TTL.
